Artistic Stone Finishes

The aesthetic integrity of any project is contingent upon a harmonious blend of premium material and expert finishing. We believe the choice of surface and edge finishing holds significance equal to that of the natural stone selection. Ajmera Marble Industries takes pride in providing a complete spectrum of surface and edge finishes, backed by the full capability of our modern factory. This facility houses the necessary machines and employs refined mechanical techniques to ensure every stone is finished to perfection.

Polished

The most common finish on natural stones such as marble & granite. It is done by grinding the surface of the stone to a point where a glossy & shiny surface is achieved. Polished finish offers a rich, classic and more luxurious appeal to the stone.

Leather/Brushed

A mechanical finish obtained by brushing the surface of the stone with silicon carbide brushes of different grits. This finish provides an undulating, soft and smooth texture to the stone. Very effective on stones such as marble and limestone with variations in hardness usually due to the veining structure of the stone.

Sandblasted / Shotblasted

This finish is achieved by a high pressure blast of silica sand (Sandblasted) or steel grit (Shotblasted) on the surface of the stone. Small craters are formed on the surface of the stone creating a rich texture & granular look. Stones with this finish are ideal for high traffic areas and areas where anti slip flooring is required.

Tumbled

This finish is done by placing the natural stone in a vibrator machine or drum machine. With the aid of more resistant media like ceramic and/or other small stones the process stimulates aging of the stone creating soft, smooth and worn out antique look surface and edges on the stone. The process enhances the color of the stone.

Flamed

By exposing the surface of the stone to a high temperature flame a rough finish is achieved. This finish is called as flamed finish. Generally done on granites & basalt especially for exterior applications.
